Welding Greek Institute (WGI) welding workshops are open daily, Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00, offering flexible and personalized training in modern facilities, or attendance of the required training to obtain an International Welder Diploma.

Flexible Training Options
Participants have the option to choose:
- Training duration: Daily (8 hours) or 5, 10, or 20-day packages at a preferential price.
- Training format: Individual (fully personalized) or Group (ideal for crews/companies).
- Welding method: SMAW (Electrode), TIG (GTAW), MIG/MAG (GMAW/FCAW), Oxy Fuel.
- Weld type: Butt or fillet weld on sheet metal and/or pipe.
- Welding position: In any position, depending on the requirements of the professional field.

Training in the workshops harmoniously combines theoretical instruction with practical application. The necessary theoretical knowledge is not delivered in isolation in a classroom, but is provided gradually, during practical exercise, so that trainees fully understand the principles and procedures they apply.

- Learning becomes interactive and comprehensible, avoiding the typical and often tedious form of traditional theory.
- Participants gain a holistic understanding of welding techniques, combining knowledge with direct experience.

Terms of Participation
Participation in Welding Greek Institute workshops requires:
- Good physical and mental condition of candidates, so they can safely meet the demands of welding.
- Compliance with all workshop health and safety rules.
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (mask, gloves, apron), provided by the Institute.
- Use of equipment under the supervision of instructors.
Certification Option – EN ISO 9606
Training can be completed with official welder certification in accordance with the EN ISO 9606-1 standard.
The process includes:
- Preparation of test pieces
- Supervised welding of the test piece
- Visual and non-destructive testing
- Issuance of certificate by an accredited body
- Registration in the WGI Welders’ Registry

Registration in the Welding Greek Institute’s Welders’ Registry constitutes official recognition of the skills and technical competence of every professional who has successfully completed EN ISO 9606-1 certification or obtained an International Welder Diploma.
With your registration:
